Postponement of Jury Duty

Please respond to your jury summons if you have a request for postponement or excuse within 10 days. You may submit your request by telephone, or mail.

If you are answering the summons for someone else other than yourself, please include your relationship to the person next to your signature at the bottom of the summons.

Placer County jurors are allowed a one-time ninety (90) day postponement for hardships such as vacations, illness of self or a family member, out of town for vacation or business, child care problems, financial problems, work hardships, transportation problems, full time students and other various reasons.

After returning the questionnaire, you will NOT be contacted by the jury office unless there are some questions or further information is needed. We will contact you and let you know specifically what is required.
