Guilty Plea - No Contest

Guilty and no contest are treated the same except that a no contest plea cannot be held against you in a civil action. If you plea Guilty or No Contest and Traffic School is not taken the point count on the citation will be reported to DMV and will be held against you for 3 years from the time of plea.
